Many thanks to all our customers!! Loads of snow has fallen in Tignes this week!! This must be why we have had to open this Saturday for all the customers who needed to pick up gear for their last minute ski and snowboarding break!!
If any one needs any ski or  snowboarding gear through the summer just email us for an appointment and we will open the Store for you.

Ski and Snowboarding Servicing will resume on the 1st October this year and any one who would like to claim a £10 voucher towards their ski or snowboard service, please leave your email address and we will send you a voucher which you can use next Season!!

Austria's culinary delights Have a great Easter!

Over a year ago now, since we were all sat in a bar in Germany after the ISPO Munich trade show eating huge Weiner Schnitzel 's! These were delicious! If ever anyone is off to Austria or Germany to ski or snowboard try one of these delights!! As if the Wiener Schnitzel wasn't big enough on its own it had sliced fried potatoes underneath!

Lots of culinary delights in Austria, such as Kaiserschmarrn, not to be missed fluffy egg pancakes with raisins and sultanas in sliced in fluffy strips and dregged with icing sugar and eaten with a compote of plums! (The kings pudding)!  

Another favourite is the Austrian sausage called buienwurst served with crispy fries!

One of Austrian's favourites is the Speckknoedelsupe, which is probably best described as a chicken noodle soup with a huge dumpling in the middle!  All of these recipes can be found on google!  

You must try the Kaiserschmarrn, it is delicious enough to share or if you are greedy eat it all yourself!!

If you fancy something more slimming and nutritious then why not share one of these fab salads!  Non of the iceberg rubbish we get served up in U.K.!

Monday is ski servicing day so don't miss out, bring your skis and snowboards in before Monday each week and they will be ready and waiting collection the following week.  
Ski and snowboarding service will finish for the season on 14th April so don't miss out!!  Any one who has not picked their skis or snowboards up from previous servicing............ last day Saturday 14th April!!!

We have had so many customers this Season purchasing Ski and Snowboard boots from cheap internet sites or even Ebay, where by when they have received them the boots don't fit or there are problems which need to be solved.


Some of these problems which are brought to our Workshop staff are very time consuming, and although we like to help and sort your problem out there will now be a charge of £40 for any boots which need to be either molded, or any additional fitting such as: heel grips, foot beds or stretching the shell of the boot, will be included in the £40.  

We offer this boot fitting service for free with every purchase from ourselves, so don't worry if you have bought your ski boots or snowboard boots from us all the fitting and advice will be free of charge.  Any after sales service you may need will also be free of charge.


Here at Dicks Board Store we also offer customised foot beds which are made and molded from a template of your natural under side of the feet.  Sidas or Comformable foot beds are an excellent way of taking all the cramps out of your feet when snowboarding or skiing.  Comformable foot beds not only support high arches, or cup the heel to stop any lift in the boots they are excellent for anyone who likes to go walking...................not in their ski boots or snowboarding boots :) but can be transferred into a pair of walking boots!  


All our customers who have had these foot beds made and inserted in to their boots have referred other customers to us time and time again.  If you are having any problems with your ski or snowboard boots you can contact us anytime via email or telephone and we will be happy to help.


The cost of the Comformable foot beds are £49.99 which may seem a steep price at the time but we can assure you they are worth every penny when it comes to comfortable riding in snowboard boots and not to have to endure the cramps which sometimes happens in ski boots!


We have been fitting ski and snowboard boots for over 20 years so we know what we are talking about.
